I’ve had the privilege this past year of working with my son’s school on their implementation of the PCR software. I didn’t realize how passionate I was about schools and education until my son started kindergarten. My background includes executive IT coaching where I help senior decision makers create strategies to get more out of their IT. 

When working on this project, I noticed challenges like: 

- Deadlines sliding and other projects stealing priority.

- Lack of motivation from the team, because the old way seems good enough.

- Lack of experience causes seemingly easy projects to balloon from 3 days to 30 days.

- Not having a technical person to implement what the team wanted.

- Even if you have a technical person, you don’t how to tell them what you want.

- Existing staff can’t do what they were hired to do because they are hijacked with this project.

With PCR Educator’s support, I am organizing a PCR Peer Group Community with an IT focus. The goals of these peer groups are:

- Collaboration between members to identify what works and what didn’t (i.e. identifying the “Gotchas” and surprise pitfalls of technology solutions).

- Sharing ways to shortcut the process and avoid mistakes which waste valuable time & money.

- Learn from peers about best practices that worked for them in certain situations.

- You’re not alone! Make friends in the industry and grow your network.

- Get clarity on where you want to go and what the PCR software can do for you.

- Enroll your team on the vision of how PCR software can make their work faster and easier.

- Make your PCR investment do more for you.

- Discover new ways that PCR software can help you with your school.

Attention Colorado schools, I co-founded an IT Mentoring and Grant program with the state. Your school likely qualifies for Free IT labor. This person could assist you with PCR implementation and technical tasks. Just ask me about it.
